Our investigator reads the contracted figures (vehicle, term, kilometres, finance payment, residual, fees and running-cost budgets), rebuilds the same lease at millarX pricing, and shows you the difference per pay. It usually takes about 15 seconds and you can correct any figure it misread.
- What should I look at when comparing novated lease quotes?
- Four things: the effective finance rate (not the headline base rate — fees and brokerage can push the real rate two to four percentage points higher), the residual value at the end of the lease, the running-cost budgets for fuel, insurance, servicing and tyres, and the total amount that leaves your pay across the whole term. A bigger advertised tax saving can hide a more expensive lease.
- Is the comparison free, and do I need to give my details?

- What if my current quote is already cheaper than millarX?
- We tell you so. If your quote genuinely beats ours, that is a great rate and, if it holds through to contract, you should take it. If you would like us to try to beat it anyway, you can challenge us from the results screen and a person will look at it.
- Which providers can I compare?
- Any Australian salary packaging or novated lease provider, including the ones most employers offer through their payroll. The comparison uses the figures on your quote — car, term, kilometres, salary and state — so the result is like for like.
- What happens to my uploaded quote?
- The file is deleted once the comparison has run. We keep only de-identified figures — the provider, the rate and the pricing — to keep the comparison honest and to publish the win-rate you see on this page. Your name, employer and contact details are never retained from the upload.
