Comparison tool disclaimer

millarX provides two comparison tools: an upload-based comparison at /compare-your-quote (where you upload a third-party novated lease quote) and a form-based comparison at /compare-buying-methods (where you enter the vehicle, salary and kilometre inputs yourself). The information below applies to both tools, with sections specific to each clearly marked.

This is a guide, not financial advice

The figures shown by either tool are illustrative only. millarX has not taken into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting on any of this, consider whether it is right for you, read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, and consider speaking with a licensed financial adviser.

How the upload comparison is generated

Applies to /compare-your-quote.

• You uploaded the third-party quote yourself. millarX did not source, solicit or receive the document from the issuing provider, and has not contacted them in relation to your enquiry. We have no relationship with the issuing provider in respect of your quote.
• The third-party figures shown are taken as printed on the document you uploaded. We do not modify, gross up, normalise or substitute any of the issuing provider's quoted figures. The only adjustments made to third-party figures are clearly labelled (e.g. stripping GST from the balloon for like-for-like comparison) and apply to the millarX figures equally.
• We make no representation that the third-party quote is wrong, mispriced or misleading. Any difference between the two quotes reflects different rate sheets, residual choices, fee structures, insurer panels, electricity / fuel rate assumptions or running-cost allocations chosen by each provider. Different does not mean incorrect.
• Document reading is automated and may contain errors. Figures are extracted from your uploaded document by an automated investigator. The accuracy of the comparison depends entirely on the figures we read being correct. You are responsible for checking every extracted figure against your original document in the "What we found" panel and correcting anything that is wrong before relying on the result.
• The "Total fixed cost" figure equals total contracted lease finance + balloon (ex-GST) + management fees over the term — i.e. amounts the customer is contractually committed to pay regardless of how they actually use the car. Running-cost budgets (insurance, fuel, registration, servicing, tyres) sit outside this figure because they vary by usage and provider.
• This tool is provided for your personal information only. The on-screen comparison is not advertising, comparative advertising or a public statement about any other provider. millarX does not retain or publish the third-party document or its contents, and does not republish, reproduce or share the comparison externally.
• You should verify the issuing provider's figures directly with them before making any decision based on this comparison. To the maximum extent permitted by law, millarX disclaims liability for decisions taken in reliance on figures extracted from a document supplied by the user.

How the form comparison is generated

Applies to /compare-buying-methods.

• The numbers shown are produced from inputs you entered yourself. We do not source pricing data from any third-party provider, and the comparison is not based on any competitor's quote, rate card or proposal.
• The "Pay cash" column adds a conservative 4.5% per annum opportunity cost on the upfront capital (a risk-free term deposit / high-interest savings rate, not a sharemarket return) plus annual running-cost estimates paid post-tax, less the residual value retained at end of term. Different opportunity cost assumptions will produce different numbers.
• The "Personal loan" column models a standard amortising unsecured loan at 10% per annum for the same term with monthly repayments and no balloon; running costs paid post-tax; residual retained subtracted at end. Actual personal-loan rates vary by lender and credit profile.

How the millarX figure is generated

The millarX figure shown by either tool is an indicative estimate generated from our standard published rate sheet (last updated April 2026), ATO standard residual percentages (28.13% / 37.50% / 46.88% / 56.25% / 65.63% for 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 year terms), a pay-in-arrears structure with a 1-month deferral, and a $20/month management fee (waived on self-managed structures). A formal millarX quote will differ based on your employer's salary-packaging arrangement, the specific vehicle and options, your credit profile, the insurer selected and any promotional pricing in market at the time. Running-cost estimates (insurance, fuel/electricity, registration, servicing, tyres) are modelled from standard millarX assumptions for the entered vehicle and kilometres. Real running costs will vary by driver, location, insurer panel and energy/fuel pricing.

How we handle your data

Applies to /compare-your-quote.

• Uploaded quotes are deleted automatically. Once your comparison is generated, the file you uploaded is purged from our storage. We do not keep the original document.
• We retain only anonymised, non-personal data. For service improvement and market research we keep figures such as the provider name, quoted rate, vehicle type, state and the estimated saving. Salary, where shown on a quote, is stored only as a broad band — never the exact figure — and we do not record your name, email, employer, IP address or device details.
• Personal details are collected only if you provide them. Your name, email and phone number are captured only when you choose to submit a quote request, and are used to prepare and follow up your quote. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Trade marks

All trade marks and provider names referenced in any document you upload remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. millarX is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any other provider whose name may appear on a document you upload to /compare-your-quote.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, millarX disclaims liability for decisions taken in reliance on the illustrative comparison shown by either tool. You should obtain a formal quote from your chosen provider before committing to any finance arrangement.
